As the supported employee exhibits independence in their job requirements, the Employment Specialist develops a fading plan and a schedule of occasional follow-up visits that is presented to both the employer and employee.
Our ultimate goal is for each individual placed into a job to become as completely independent as possible. For some persons, ETI support may be faded completely after a brief period of training. Other individuals, who have achieved successful employment through carefully-designed job supports and structures, may require ongoing follow-up in the event of changes in their job responsibilities or supervisors.
ETI is a strong believer in Careers in Employment. One Job does not make a Career, and ETI has often supported its’ customers, as necessary, with learning new job tasks to promote advancement, or with new job placements and training as an individual progresses.
